SESVanderHave markets in 36 different countries and is one of the three main sugarbeet genetic suppliers in the world.

SES was formed after WWII and headquartered in Tienen, Belgium. VanderHave – founded in 1879 by DJ VanderHave, began breeding sugarbeets in 1924, headquartered in Rilland, Netherlands.

Both companies were owned by Advanta Group. This was split up in 2005, with Florimond Desprez buying the two beet groups from Advanta. Florimond Desprez already owned Seedex, Inc.

SESVanderHave is a whole supply chain company, meaning it is present in every step of sugarbeet seed production including breeding, genetic research and development, seed multiplication, production, cleaning, polishing, priming, pelleting, treatments, packaging, product commercialization, marketing, grower education and seed delivery.
